Engagement terms & independence
The contracting party is Salman Abdullah trading as Photonics Frontier Advisory. The brand does not represent a separate legal entity or a multi-person advisory firm. Specialist identity and relevant credentials are provided before an engagement is accepted.
Services are accepted only after checking scope, availability, conflicts, employer and contractual obligations, confidentiality and any applicable restrictions. An enquiry does not create a consultancy agreement or confidentiality undertaking. Scope, fees, deliverables and any NDA are agreed in writing before paid work begins.
Advice is based on public information and information lawfully authorised for the engagement. Employer or client confidential information, trade secrets and material non-public information must not be requested or provided. No advice on securities transactions, investment recommendations or other regulated financial services is offered.
Prior professional and advisory experience belongs to the individual specialist. No employer, expert network or end-client endorsement or affiliation is implied. Technical assessments involve assumptions and uncertainty; no commercial, performance or investment outcome is guaranteed.
Questions or complaints about a service can be sent to the email or postal address above. Nothing in this website excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The website host may process IP addresses, request details and security logs to deliver and protect the website.
Lawful bases. Legitimate interests apply to responding to business enquiries, professional conflict checks, service administration and security, balanced against your rights. Contract applies where processing is necessary to take steps at an individual’s request before a contract or to perform that contract. Legal obligation applies to records required by law. Enquiries are not automatically added to marketing lists.
Service providers and access. The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites using Cloudflare infrastructure. Business email is forwarded by Porkbun to a Google Gmail inbox controlled by the proprietor. Providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Information may also be shared with professional advisers or authorities where necessary and lawful. Enquiry information is not sold.
International handling. The proprietor may access correspondence while in the United Arab Emirates. Hosting and email providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Cross-border handling is subject to applicable data protection law and provider arrangements. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry. Do not send sensitive personal data, proprietary material or restricted technical information in an initial email; suitable arrangements should be agreed first.
Retention. The standard retention period for an enquiry that does not lead to work is up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact. Information may be retained longer where needed for a live dispute, legal requirement or documented conflict record. Engagement and accounting records are retained for the applicable statutory period or as specified in the engagement terms.
Your rights. Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. If consent is used for a particular activity, it can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact the advisory email to exercise your rights. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
